Sideways Stories from Wayside School by Louis Sachar

      
The Wayside Stories books are one of my favorite series.  I like them because they are  funny, STRANGE, weird, and crazy!  Here is something that the book says: "The school is thirty stories high, there is no nineteenth story. Ms. Zarves teaches on the nineteenth story. Understand? Good. Tell it to me." NOW do you see why I said they're crazy?!?!? 
 Some of my favorite characters are Louis ( the yard teacher), Mrs.Gorf ,Todd (and his potato tattoo), Mrs. Jewels, Miss Mush, hobo Bob, Maricia, Sharie, and Mr. Pickle.  I like Louis because is so funny and...well...defferent than everyone else! Oh, and hobo Bob is cool because he simply refuses to wear socks (he thinks its good luck!) I like Maricia because every flavor of  ice cream is simply heaven to her!  I like Sharie because she' alway falling asleep during class (of course her teacher Mrs. Jewels admires, simply admires her for it!) Oh, I forgot to tell you that all the books take place on the thirtieth story. Once, Sharie fell asleep, then fell all the way down the thirty stories - out the window! Thankfully, Louis caught her. Unfortanently, Sharie got mad at Louis for waking her from her from her dreams( of course she had no idea she had just fallen out the window.) 
"Miss Mush, the lunch lady is cooking up some famous Mushroom Surprise!"  Although, Ron  is the only one brave enough to try it. It tastes fine... but no one  knows what the surprise is- until now...if you ever see anyone try some Mushroom Surprise.......RUUNNN!!! I bet that you will have fun  finding out what the surprise is!
 These books are great! There are three plus a math book. You should definitely read them. They are written by Louis Sacher. Have fun reading!
